Haykakan Zhamanak: Russian loan carries 2% annual interest rate
‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily writes that at an extraordinary session on July 2 the Armenian parliament will consider the issue of extending the term of Russian 102nd military base operations in Gyumri.
Besides, the parliament will examine the agreement on a $200 million Russian loan to Armenia for extension of modern weapons.
The loan will carry an annual interest rate of 2%, the paper says. According to some members of Republican Party of Armenia, these funds will be used to fill the financial gap due to a rise in electricity prices. About $50 million is needed for this in 2015.
