Iranian Ambassador to Ankara tells Turkey authorities not to violate Syria’s territorial integrity
The Iranian Ambassador to Ankara, Alireza Bigdeli, told Turkey authorities not to violate Syria’s territorial integrity, according to the Iranian website Asriran.com.
During a meeting with journalists, the Iranian Ambassador spoke about the possibility of Turkey commencing military actions in the territory of Syria. “The violation of the territorial integrity of a UN member state goes against Turkey’s obligations to establish stability and peace in Syria,” he said.
According to Asriran, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his discontent regarding the Kurds’ military success in the north of Syria, and said that Turkey will never allow a Kurdish state to be created in the north of Syria to the south of his country.
