Yerevan Water Company rejects decision on water tariff rise and informs PSRC about it
Yerevan Jur (Yerevan Water) Company has decided to leave the water tariffs unchanged and sent a respective letter informing Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) about it.
According a press release, the company notified PSRC Chairman Robert Nazaryan that thanks to consistent activities in 2009-2015 aimed at raising the efficient operations of the system under its control, the company managed to cut electricity expenses by over 81% in the sphere, which is a signification factor in calculating the tariffs of customer services.
Taking into account this circumstance and the need to ease the burden on customers amid rising prices of public services, Veolia Company has decided not to insist on a tariff rise and to leave it unchanged, the letter says.
