Zhamanak: Vehicles queue at Stepantsminda-Lars border checkpoint
Businessmen exporting apricots from Armenia through Stepantsminda-Lars border checkpoint say that a long line of vehicles has formed there due to a reduction in the checkpoint’s 24-hour work schedule. “Our interlocutor, who declined to be identified, complained that the problem was created artificially. Another reason is that Russian checkpoint operates badly, which results in long queues,” ‘Zhamanak’ paper writes.
Representative of Armenian Transport Ministry David Melkonyan said there are no problems. “No lines of vehicles are reported. There was a problem with the staff, and it has been solved,” he said.
