National Security Service of Armenia releases sketch of suspect in Syunik governor attempted murder case
The Investigative Department of National Security Service of Armenia (NSS) is continuing an investigation into the case opened in connection with shots fired at the car of Suren Khachatryan, Governor of Armenia’s Syunik province, on May 20, 2015.
Panorama.am learned from the press service of NSS that the suspect is a strongly-built man who is approximately 55 years old, with thick hair touched with grey, an oval face, a straight nose, and regular features.
The sketch of the suspect was posted on the official website of NSS. Anyone with information about this man should call at 011 52-95-56, 011 58-90-96, or call Armenian police at 1-02.
Unknown persons shot at Lexus LX 570 car of Syunik governor Suren Khachatryan on May 20 at 30th km of Goris-Kapan highway. The governor, his driver, and his aide were inside the car. No one was injured. A criminal case was opened under Article 34-104 (attempted murder) and Article 235 (illegal possession and carrying of weapons and ammunition) of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
