President Sargsyan receives participants of 4th International Medical Congress of Armenia
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan today, on July 3 received participants of 4th International Medical Congress of Armenia, the presidential press service said.
Welcoming the guests, President Sargsyan expressed confidence that the 4th Congress, like the previous ones, will be noted for its efficiency and will allow outlining new prospects of cooperation in various areas of healthcare.
He noted with satisfaction that the number of congress participants and its geography are growing year by year. It is inspiring to see successful Diaspora Armenians introducing their experience and knowledge into the healthcare sector of the Homeland, S. Sargsyan said.
The head of state stressed the importance of holding the congress on a regular basis that will allow doctors to work side by side, introduce best practices, and promote the development of medical science and quality medical education, thus helping improve the quality of health services in Armenia and Karabakh.
The meeting participants informed the president about the results of discussions held at the congress, the cooperation agreements signed, and their approaches and proposals aimed at solving urgent problems in Armenian healthcare sector.
The sides said that progress has been made in some areas, but there is still much work to be done and for that reason the consolidation of specialists of Armenia and Diaspora is a must.
