Haykakan Zhamanak: Armen Ashotyan may be appointed secretary of National Security Council of Armenia
Armenian Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan is expected to be appointed as secretary of the National Security Council within a month, while member of ARF-Dashnaktsutyun Party Levon Mkrtchyan is likely to become education minister, according to ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily.
The paper says one thing is not clear: “whether Mkrtchyan will become education minister as a result of ARFD’s entering the coalition or in the inner order, so to speak”.
“In case of joining the coalition, ARFD will obtain one or two ministerial posts and two positions of regional governors. There is great likelihood of an ARFD member being appointed as governor of Gegharkunik province. The possibility of Ara Nranyan’s becoming finance minister is not ruled out. The appointment of Artsvik Minasyan as social security minister also seems likely,” the paper writes.
