Russia is not indifferent to the developments taking place in friendly Armenia, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying at a meeting with Armenian counterpart Hovik Abrahamyan.
“We are closely following the events in Armenia because you are our neighbor, an ally, a close state, and, of course, we are not indifferent to the developments in a friendly country,” D. Medvedev told H. Abrahamyan.
The Russian premier said that taking into account the previous agreements, he and the Armenian PM will discuss Russian-Armenian cooperation, some economic problems and the proposals submitted by the Armenian side. Energy cooperation will also be addressed at negotiations, V. Medvedev said.
Hovik Abrahamyan said for his part that Armenia makes consistent efforts towards strengthening bilateral cooperation. “In addition to the warm and friendly ties established between our countries , since January of this year we have also cooperated within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, which is essential to us,” H.
