Passenger arrested after diverted flight
A British Airways flight had to make an emergency landing in the US after a Briton allegedly assaulted a woman on board, BBC reported.
The flight, from London to Houston, in Texas, was diverted to Boston's Logan International Airport after reports a passenger had assaulted a companion.
US police said Darren Halliwell, 48, of Manchester, had been charged with interfering with a flight crew.
The Foreign Office said it was aware of the reports a Briton had been arrested.
"We are aware of reports of the arrest of a British national at Boston Logan International Airport and stand ready to offer consular assistance as necessary," a spokesman said.
Authorities say the plane continued to Houston following the arrest.
