Armenia receives $13.9m worth of humanitarian aid in five months of 2015
812.2 tons of goods amounting to 6.6bn drams or $13.9 million were imported into Armenia as humanitarian aid in January-May 2015, Armenian Finance Ministry said.
Products of chemical industry and related branches made up 39% of humanitarian aid sent to Armenia, textiles – 10.4%, devices – 12.7%, industrial goods – 9.1%, machines, equipment and mechanisms – 7.7%, footwear, hats and umbrellas – 3.8%, and other goods made up 17.3%, according to National Statistical Service.
The U.S. accounted for 27.1% of humanitarian aid received by Armenia in the indicated period, Australia - for 17.9% (1.6% increase compared with last year). EU countries and CIS countries accounted for 23% and 0.3% respectively.
