Putin: Four countries, including Armenia, are joining SCO as partners
Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Armenia and Nepal are joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as partners, Russian President Vladimir Putin was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
“Azerbaijan, Armenia, Cambodia and Nepal are joining the SCO family as dialog partners,” V. Putin announced when opening an enlarged meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO States.
There are other countries wishing to participate in work of the SCO, the Russian president said. “Quite a number of countries have expressed interest in joining our organization in one form or another. We will examine carefully their applications, taking into account the relevant requirements,” Putin said.
