Russian billionaire German Sterligov’s name included in Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry ‘black list’ for NKR visit
Russian entrepreneur German Sterligov’s name was included in the list of undesirable persons of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev, said, according to the information agency Trend.
The Russian eccentric entrepreneur, well-known farmer, and founder of the exchange Alisa, German Sterligov left Russia and is selling out his property. The businessman’s assistant Polina Sirota told the Russian News Service that the farmer left for Nagorno Karabakh on 4 July 2015. The businessman’s lawyer responded to Vesti.az’s statement about German Sterligov’s inclusion into the ‘black list’ of Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry by saying that the businessman took this step quite consciously. “I think he doesn’t care,” he added.
The Russian opera singer Ljubov Kazarnovskaya was also included in the list for her recent visit to Nagorno Karabakh. However, the opera singer said she is glad to be in the same black list as Montserrat Caballé. Kazarnovskaya held a master class in the Stepanakert musical college in the frameworks of the "Tnjre" International Music Festival. During a press conference in Stepanakert, she said that she intended to take part in a number of musical projects in Nagorno Karabakh. She will participate in setting Verdi’s “Requiem” and establishing an opera art school with the Ministry of Culture of Nagorno Karabakh.
Back in 2013, the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan published a list of people who had become personae non gratae in Azerbaijan for visiting Nagorno Karabakh Republic, and thus are barred from entry to the country. 470 people are reportedly included in the list. This, however, does not stop the world celebrities.
