International conference dedicated to 70th anniversary of UNESCO starts in Yerevan
An international conference “Cultural Policy: Policy for Culture” starts in Yerevan today, on July 11. Delegates from 45 countries and international organizations are participating in the conference held on July 11-13, the press service of Armenian Ministry of Culture reported.
The scheduled events are as follows: a plenary sitting “The Role of Culture in Sustainable Development: New Reality and Prospects”, a final sitting “The Future of Culture: Culture of the Future”, as well as roundtables “Cultural Heritage as a factor of Human Consolidation and Spiritual Communication”, “Cultural Diversity: Pledge of Intercultural Dialog and Sustainable Development”, and “Intangible Cultural Heritage in Modern World”.
The conference will be attended by ministers and deputy ministers of UNESCO, the EU and other countries, heads of Armenia-based diplomatic missions and international organizations, cultural experts, officials of cultural centers of foreign states, and representatives of Armenian NGOs and departments.
