Armenian folk dance ‘Kochari’ may be included in UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage
‘Kochari’, an Armenian folk dance, may be included in UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage this year, Secretary General of the UNESCO National Commission of Armenia Vahram Kazhoyan told journalists today.
The application to have Kochari included in the list was already filed. Discussions and the possible approval are expected from November 30 to December 2, Kazhoyan said.
In 2014, Armenian flatbread, otherwise known as lavash has been inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
