Ambassador Jean-Francois Charpentier: France regards Armenia as regional pole of stability
The relationship between Armenia and France is of a privileged nature, French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier said at a press conference today. He mentioned French President Francois Hollande’s participation in the Armenian Genocide Centenary commemorations as an example of privileged bilateral relations.
Besides, the political, economic and cultural agenda between two countries encompasses a wide range of issues, the ambassador noted.
Speaking of regional problems, Jean-Francois Charpentier said France regards Armenia as ‘a pole of stability’ in the region. As a Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, France takes an active part in settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, he said.
