European Council chief Donald Tusk starts visits to Georgia and Armenia
President of the European Council Donald Tusk is starting his visits to Georgia and Armenia, RIA Novosti said. D. Tusk will make a trip to Georgia on July 14-15 and is scheduled to visit Armenia on July 16.
Both Armenia and Georgia are participating states in Eastern Partnership, a forum aiming to improve the political and economic trade-relations of the six Post-Soviet states – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine with the European Union.
The European Union and Georgia signed in July 2014 an Association Agreement, along with its integral part – the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA). The document is currently under ratification by 28 EU member states.
