Osikyan: Systemic reforms will continue
An enlarged meeting was held at Penitentiary Service of Armenian Justice Ministry today.
The activities of structural units of the Penitentiary Service and prisons in the first half of 2015 were summarized at the meeting conducted by the head of Penitentiary Service Maj. Gen. Arthur Osikyan. The participants discussed a range of important issues, assessed the work done and the process of ongoing reforms, according to the press office of Penitentiary Service (PS).
Arthur Osikyan attached importance to the systemic reforms which he said will continue in order to increase the efficiency of the PS staff. The sanitary hygienic conditions in prisons and the quality and safety of food there were also considered.
Osikyan gave instructions to the heads of PS units and prisons urging them to show consistency and vigilance when dealing with problems.
