Ambassador: Japanese government prepared to promote cooperation in social protection
The Japanese government is prepared to promote cooperation in the sphere of social protection, Japan’s Ambassador to Armenia Ejji Taguchi said at the meeting with Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artyom Asatryan.
The minister congratulated Mr. Taguchi on his appointment and expressed hope that Armenian-Japanese cooperation will open up new opportunities and form a basis for new programs in the social sector, the ministry’s press service said.
Artyom Asatryan presented the ongoing reforms in social protection, including the system of integrated social services and the institution of social worker, attaching great importance to the role of social workers. The minister also spoke about the employment policy and the programs implemented in that sphere.
At the conclusion of their meeting A. Asatryan wished the ambassador success in his diplomatic mission.
