Defense Ministry of Karabakh: Any encroachment of Azerbaijani troops is fraught with irreparable consequences
On July 12-18 Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire about 700 times on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan, according to latest data of Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
During the indicated period Azerbaijani frontline units fired over 11,000 shots at Armenian positions from guns of various calibers, 66 mm mortars and AGS-17 grenade launchers, the press service of NKR Defense Ministry reported.
According to a statement, in addition to ceasefire violations, the Azerbaijani armed forces have intensified training flights that were conducted 10-15 kilometers away from the line of contact between troops of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan. The air defense force of NKR promptly detected training flights of Azerbaijani aircraft, vigilantly tracking their trajectory until the aircraft’s landing.
“The air and land borders of Artsakh are under efficient control of the air force of the NKR and any encroachment on them is fraught with irreparable consequences,” the Defense Ministry of Karabakh warns.
