Expert: Mentality should change for efficiency of constitutional reforms in Armenia
To achieve a positive result in the implementation of constitutional reforms in Armenia, work should be done regarding mentality and the sense of justice of both authority representatives and the society, expert on constitutional law Vardan Aivazyan told a press conference today.
“One needs to be civilized to enjoy the benefits of the parliamentary system of government typical of democratic countries,” he noted.
“If, after the introduction of the parliamentary form, our society again gives a vote of confidence to the current members of National Assembly and if incompetent people get into parliament again, it will mean one thing: the parliamentary form of government has nothing to do with this,” he said.
