Donald Tusk stresses importance of respecting Karabakh ceasefire and showing restraint in actions and statements
The latest negative tendencies relating to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict raise concern, President of the European Council Donald Tusk said in Yerevan during a joint press conference with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
A peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict remains a priority of the European Council, with the EC supporting the negotiations on conflict settlement with the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group, D. Tusk said.
“We support the further dialog between Armenia and Azerbaijan, particularly at the highest level,” Donald Tusk said noting that it is crucial to respect the ceasefire agreement, show restraint in actions and statements, and create a favorable atmosphere to make progress in the conflict settlement.
