Ucom and Orange in talks on acquisition of 100% of shares of Orange Armenia mobile operator
Officials of Ucom and Orange Companies have begun negotiations on the acquisition by Ucom of 100% of the shares of Orange Armenia. The press service of Ucom confirmed the media reports released earlier.
Negotiations are already being conducted to attract international financial institutions. It is noted that given the tendencies of development of the global telecommunications market, in 2013 Ucom Company received permission to provide mobile communication services using 4G technology. The company plans to provide quality services based on LTE technology starting from 2016.
The positive outcome of talks between Orange and Ucom will provide an opportunity to maintain and unify potential of the 500-mmeber qualified staff of Orange Armenia and the innovative technical capacity.
