Armenian government raises insurance of servicemen
At the regular session held today, the Armenian government made changes to a decision about the Law on Social Welfare of Serviceman and their Families.
By the amendments, based on the lists submitted by state bodies, Armenian Finance Ministry will make lump-sum compulsory insurance payments in case of the death of a serviceman during military operations to defend the homeland, in the performance of combat or official duties.
Servicemen are also eligible for disability insurance. The amount of insurance payments has been increased.
