Armenian president attends opening of hospital and kindergarten in rural communities of Tavush
As part of his working visit to Tavush province, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan attended today the opening ceremony of a new hospital in the city of Berd, according to the presidential press service.
S. Sargsyan, accompanied by health officials, representatives of the World Bank and local government bodies, familiarized himself with the modern equipment and conditions of the hospital and talked with medical personnel.
Then the head of state visited the border community of Verin Karmiraghbyur where he participated in the opening ceremony of a new kindergarten- day nursery.
In Choratan village, the president went to Tavush Textil factory and became acquainted with programs on further development of the company which plans to export goods to Russia and Belarus and open branches in other communities of Tavush province. The company intends to create 2000 jobs in the next five years by investing $40 million. $2.5 has been invested so far. S. Sargsyan spoke to residents of Choratan.
