The press service of Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that soldier Eldar Sakhavet ogly Fataliyev died on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

Meanwhile, the spokesman for Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan, commenting on Azerbaijani media reports about casualties of the Armenian side, said that is yet another misinformation of Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan.

“The Armenian side did not suffer losses. The situation on the border is relatively calm at the moment,” he said.

Hovhannisyan confirmed that the Azerbaijani side’s activity was suppressed by return fire and the enemy suffered casualties.

According to A. Hovhannisyan, since last evening, July 24 Azerbaijan has intensively violated the ceasefire both in Tavush direction and on the line of contact by opening fire from large-caliber guns and 60 mm and 82 mm mortars. The Azerbaijani side has violated the ceasefire 160 times. The Armenian side opened fire in case of necessity, due to which the enemy suffered human casualties and other losses.

The Armenian defense ministry’s spokesman drew attention to misinformation spread by Azerbaijani mass media in recent days regarding the situation on the border.

“We urge everyone not to yield to provocations and rely only on official information of the Armenian side,” A. Hovhannisyan wrote on Facebook.
