USAID to allocate $750,000 to Armenia for combating corruption
The USAID expressed a readiness to assist Armenia with the implementation of a new anti-corruption strategy, Minister – Chief of Government Staff David Harutyunyan said today at the inaugural sitting of the Commission for the Fight against Corruption chaired by Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.
Harutyunyan said the government and the American side will sign a cooperation agreement for anti-corruption programs in four spheres – education, state revenues, healthcare, and the police.
The efficiency of the programs will depend on professionalism and experience of the personnel involved so it is necessary to attract people capable of creating a relevant school of experts in Armenia, D. Harutyunyan noted.
