Cause of fire in Botanic garden of Yerevan may remain undetermined
The cause of the fire that broke out in Yerevan’s Botanic garden a few days ago is still not clear: it is rather difficult to establish the cause of a fire that burned a grass section, Chief of Crisis Management Center of Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations, Colonel Hovhannes Khangeldyan told reporters today.
“It is rather difficult to establish the cause of a fire in an area covered with grass: in most cases the cause remains undetermined. Even a small piece of glass may ignite a fire,” he noted.
As was reported, the fire that broke out in Botanic garden on July 25 affected an area of 15 hectares.
