NKR Defense Army gives proportionate response, suppresses activity of Azerbaijani troops
Although the tension on the border has eased somewhat, on the night of July 29-30 the Azerbaijani side continued to violate the ceasefire on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan : Azerbaijani troops violated the ceasefire over 100 times, according to the press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
Over that period Azerbaijani frontline units fired over 1600 shots at Armenian positions from small arms and artillery weapons of various calibers, including 60 shells from 60 mm mortars, 2 grenades from RPG-7 grenade launchers and 51 grenades from AGS-17 grenade launchers.
The activity of the enemy was suppressed after NKR Defense Army’s frontline units gave a proportionate response.
