Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent today a message of congratulations to national philanthropist Nazar Nazarian on his birthday, the presidential press service reports.

The message says in particular:
“Owing to decades of fruitful activities for the good of the homeland and your long-term commitments, you have deservedly made a great name for yourself and won authority of a national philanthropist in the Homeland and the Diaspora.

While living away from the homeland, you have always lived with it and remained closely connected with the Armenian people thanks to warm feelings. At different times and under different conditions you have managed to assume responsibility and carry out programs for the benefit of the nation, although not speaking loudly about that.

I am grateful to you and your honorable spouse Artemis Nazarian for continuing the best traditions of Armenian philanthropy.
I wish you good health and longevity”.

President Sargsyan also awarded the Order for Merit to the Fatherland (2nd class) to Nazar Nazarian of the United States for his significant contribution to the strengthening of ties between the Homeland and the Diaspora and his longtime philanthropic and humanitarian activities.
