Georgian enterprise plans to export chips to Armenia
A newly-opened factory manufacturing chips in Georgia has started to operate at full capacity. The opening of the plant was attended by Georgia’s prime minister and the minister of economy.
A famous German businessman invested $4 million in the enterprise. Chips will be made from local potatoes to be grown on the areas purchased by the factory, Apsny.ge said.
The German manufacturer and his family settled in neighboring Georgia. He hopes that his company’s chips which are noted for their nice taste will be in great demand.
The chips will be sold under the brand name ‘Caravan’. The factory owner said an agreement was reached to sell their product in Armenian and Azerbaijani markets.
