181 thousand Armenian citizens spend vacations in Georgia in July
Many Armenians prefer to spend their vacations in Georgia. Georgian media reports citing the country’s police data that 181 thousand people traveled from Armenia to Georgia in July 2015, which means that their number increased by 11.9% compared with the same month of 2014.
The Azerbaijanis are in second place: 160 thousand visited Georgia (a 7.9% increase), followed by Turkish citizens – 152 thousand visitors (a 12% increase) and Russians – 140.3 thousand visited Georgia in July, their number increased by 6.6%.
According to National Statistical Service of Armenia, 1,256,917 tourists came to Armenia in 2nd quarter of 2015 or by 1.8% more than in the same period of last year. 250,326 people traveled from Armenia to other countries in 2nd quarter – a 1% increase on the same period of 2014.
