NKR Defense Army suppresses activity of Azerbaijani troops
The Azerbaijani army continues to violate systematically the ceasefire on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan by using small arms and artillery weapons of various calibers, according to the press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
On July 4 and the night of July 5 Azerbaijani troops used 60 mm and 82 mm mortars, in addition to firing at Armenian positions from large caliber guns. The enemy violated the ceasefire about 200 times over the indicated period, with over 3,000 shots fired by Azerbaijani frontline units at Armenian positions.
“The frontline units of NKR Defense Army confidently performed their military tasks and took response measures to suppress the enemy’s activity. The Armenian side had no losses as a result of ceasefire violations,” the statement says.
