Hraparak: Hranush Hakobyan may be appointed Armenian ambassador to Russia
“Hraparak’ writes citing sources that Armenian ambassadors in several countries are expected to be replaced in August, in particular, the rotation of Armenian ambassadors to Russia and Belarus is on the agenda.
“The replacement of Armenian Ambassador to Belarus Armen Khachatryan depends on the appointment of a new ambassador to Russia, and current Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan is a candidate for that post. She may be appointed as ambassador to Belarus or an Arab country.
According to our information, Deputy Minister Vahagn Melikyan will be appointed as Minster of Diaspora. He is the son of the dean of Yerevan State University’s Department of Oriental Studies. His father is on close terms with President Serzh Sargsyan,” the paper writes.
