Criminal case opened over murder of psychic medium in Yerevan
A criminal case was opened in connection with the murder of famous psychic medium Ani Majnumyan who participated in ‘Sixth Sense’ popular TV program, Panorama.am learned from Sona Truzyan, advisor to the head of Armenia’s Investigative Committee.
The case was opened under Article 104 part 2 point 8 of the Criminal Code - a contract killing committed from mercenary motives, combined with extortion, robbery or banditry, Sona Truzyan said noting that the woman suffered numerous wounds.
Ani Majnumyan, 55, was found dead on Wednesday, August 5, in her apartment in Ajapniak district of Yerevan with multiple stab wounds. Her body was found in the bedroom. Everything in the apartment was turned upside down.
