Government of Armenia discusses agricultural development issues
The Armenian government relies on scientific potential of the agro-industrial complex and active cooperation aimed at achieving high indices in the agricultural sector, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said today at the consultation held in the government office to discuss problems related to efficient fulfillment of scientific potential of agriculture.
Rector of the National Agrarian University of Armenia Arshaluys Tarverdyan said that such discussions provide a good opportunity to present proposals for agricultural development.
The consultation participants included Deputy Prime Minister Vache Gabrielyan, Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan, Minister of Education and Sceince Armen Ashotyan, and faculty members of the National Agrarian University.
The PM underlined the importance of intensifying cooperation between Agriculture Ministry and Agrarian University. “We need to combine our efforts and achieve better results, we should direct our farmers,” H. Abrahamyan said. He instructed those present to work out realistic programs and submit them to the government.
