‘Speghani’ Girls’ Choir of Armenia wins awards at Florence International Choir Festival
Armenia's Speghani Girls’ Choir has won several awards at the Florence International Choir Festival held on July 22 - 24, the press office of Armenian Culture Ministry said.
20 choirs from various countries competed in the prestigious festival.
‘Speghani’ performed Komitas' songs and works by mediaeval and modern Armenian and Italian composers.
The choir won first awards in Early Music and Not Mixed Chorus nominations and special prizes for the best performance of pieces of Italian Renaissance composers and the best costume.
