New community development projects implemented in Lori and Tavush regions at the initiative of Orange Armenia staff
Two more projects were brought to life within the framework of Orange Foundation’s special projects that allow Orange Armenia employees to initiate, and coordinate the implementation of charity projects.
A children’s department in the library of Ijevan city, Tavush region, was jointly established by Orange Foundation and "GLOBAL SHAPERS" youth NGO at the initiative of Bella Galoyan, who works in Orange Armenia Marketing department. Little readers will now have access to the renovated room equipped with the best samples of children's literature. Children’s storytelling and reading activities are held within this new children’s department of the library. It also facilitates the organization of special trainings for the primary school teachers, according to the press service of Orange Foundation.
Another project – this time for children with disabilities – had been earlier carried out in Stepanavan city of Lori region. The project was proposed by Liana Nalbandian, who is an employee of Orange Amrenia sales and service center in Stepanavan. 50 children with disabilities from Stepanavan and the surrounding villages now attend the Training and Development Center of Stepanavan, jointly established by "Full Life" NGO and Orange Foundation. Twice a week the children will also participate in inclusive art therapy which includes activities like pottery, drawing, carpentry as well as computer courses. The project will also organize children's transportation from their homes to the center and back.
"One of the main areas of Orange Foundation’s activities is to support children through establishing the necessary conditions for their education and development, as well as for their further integration into the society. We are proud that our employees are not indifferent to the problems of public concern and want to change people's lives, and we are ready to assist them, “ said Francis Gelibter, the Board Chairman of Orange Foundation.
