Government of Armenia takes decision on sale of Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex
At the weekly session today the Armenian government took a decision about the sale of Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex state non-profit organization, which is considered property of the Republic of Armenia and is currently on the balance sheet of Armenian Defense Ministry, to NTAA Investment Group LLC. The sales price is $30 million.
The government approved the investment program of NTAA Investment Group LLC and also decided to liquidate K. Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex state non-profit organization in accordance with established order.
Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said the company intends to implement a big investment project by purchasing K. Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex and developing the adjacent area.
In particular, it is planned to repair the building of K. Demirchyan Complex and construct a family complex that will include hotels, an indoor water park, concert halls, restaurants, shops and a casino. It will be the first complex of its kind not only in Armenia, but also in the whole region. The project is expected to be implemented within 4 years. Investments of over $100 million will be made, with 250 new jobs being created.
