Deloitte & Touche to provide consulting services to PSRG of Armenia
Deloitte & Touche CIS Company will provide consulting services to Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) regarding regulation of tariffs in energy sector. The decision was taken at the session of the Armenian government today. The government staff was instructed to sign a respective agreement with the company.
Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan said the government examined bids of two companies - Deloitte & Touche and McKinsey & Company. Deloitte & Touche submitted a more profitable price bid so it was announced the winner. The company will start its work immediately after signing the agreement, Gabrielyan said.
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan for his part expressed confidence that Armenian society will receive answers to many questions as a result of studies. “Deloitte & Touche is an authoritative international company, and based on its conclusions we will be able to move forward,” the PM said.
He reminded those present that the Armenian government is working on preparations for a joint audit to be conducted with the Russian side and Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) Company.
