Zhoghovurd: Permyakov to serve his prison term in Armenia
The authorities of Armenia and Russia seem to have reached an agreement on the place of imprisonment of Russian soldier Valery Permyakov charged with the murder of 7 members of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri.
‘Zhoghovurd’ paper says that law enforcers of the two countries have decided that Permyakov will remain in Armenia and serve a prison term here, but he will be kept in a place of imprisonment in the Russian 102nd military base located in Armenia, in other words, in Armenia but on the territory of Russia. The garrison court of the Russian military base yesterday held a trial of Permyakov. He received ten years in prison.
