Tianjin explosion roasts thousands of brand new cars
The recent explosion in Tianjin, China has left nearly 6 football fields worth of brand new cars utterly destroyed. Automakers including Renaut, Volkswagen, Mistsubishi, Honda, and Toyota are among the major automakers affected by the blast. It has been reported that in total over 6000 vehicles were lost during the blast with even more having unrepairable damages. With the blast equivalent of approximately 3 tonnes of TNT it’s no wonder there has been such a devastating aftermath, Drizz.ly wrote.
It’s not generally known that automakers are almost constantly losing inventory due to disasters of every kind. Wild weather, container ships sinking and now explosions have to be included in the insurance of these companies. With a disaster of this magnitude so many different industries are affected.
