‘The World of Gold’ shopping center and other gold markets are in a ‘disastrous’ situation, more and more stalls are being closed, ‘Zhamanak’ paper writes citing representatives of the sphere.

According to the paper, Ms. Shoghik, a representative of small business, is going to close her private enterprise on September 1.

“Trade declined by almost 90%, there are no buyers. In the past two years, I have sold items at or below their cost price so as to pay taxes and the rent. I have not made any profit for two years so I will have to close the stall from September 1,” she told ‘Zhamanak’.

According to her, the market owners were asked to reduce lease prices, but no one made concessions, and it is impossible to work in this situation. “The market owners say they also pay taxes. Such is reality,” Ms. Shoghik said.
