Ambassador: Armenia prepared to actively cooperate with Iran in IT sector
Armenia is prepared to actively cooperate with Iran in the IT industry and engineering and counts on assistance of Iran’s relevant structures, Armenian Ambassador to Iran Artashes Tumanyan said at a meeting with Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mahmoud Vaezi.
Minister Vaezi expressed his support for the ambassador’s proposal, according to the press service of Armenian Foreign Ministry. He added that Iran has wide experience in the telecommunications sector and the implementation of infrastructure projects and that the Iranian side is ready to cooperate in that direction in both bilateral and multilateral formats, with the involvement of other regional countries.
The development of relations with neighboring countries, including Armenia, is a priority of the foreign policy of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Minister Vaezi said.
