Prime Minister: Air Armenia CEO assault incident should be resolved within the law
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has been informed about the incident with the CEO of the airline Air Armenia Arsen Avetisyan, and the respective bodies will act consistently so that the issue will be resolved within the law, Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan said.
He called the incident a negative phenomenon.
“The issue should be solved in accordance with the law. I condemn such behavior, regardless of who displays it,” he pointed out.
Arsen Avetisyan, CEO of the airline Air Armenia, was taken to ‘Heratsi’ Yerevan hospital No 1 late Sunday, August 16, with a broken nose and injuries. Panorama.am learned from Alexandra Harutyunyan, a spokeswoman for Yerevan State Medical University after M. Heratsi that Arsen Avetisyan was in stable condition. The press service of the Armenian police confirmed information about the battery of A. Avetisyan. An investigation is underway. The CEO of Air Armenia claims he was beaten up on orders from President of Armenia’s Football Federation Ruben Hayrapetyan.
