PM Abrahamyan, Chinese counterpart to discuss Armenia-Iran railway construction project
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan is scheduled to visit China. The head of government said at a meeting with participants of ‘Baze 2015’ Pan-Armenian youth gathering in Tsakhkadzor that he together with his Chinese counterpart will discuss China’s involvement in the implementation of Armenia-Iran railway construction project.
Transport and Communications Minister of Armenia Gagik Beglaryan told reporters after the government session last week that the Chinese side put forward a number of proposals concerning the implementation of Armenia-Iran railway construction project.
As regards relations with Iran, Hovik Abrahamyan was quoted by the press service of the Armenian government as saying that the trade and economic relations with Iran have intensified, and other programs will be carried out in the near future.
