Education minister of Armenia awards medal winners of international sports events
Armenian Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan today presented certificates to the Armenian students who won medals in international sports competitions, according to the press service of Ministry of Education and Science.
The minister highly appreciated the achievements of the young athletes and their coaches. He expressed hope that success also awaits them in the future.
Those who received certificates included Armenian gymnast Arthur Tovmasyan who won the gold on the rings at the 2015 Gwangju Universiade in South Korea and his coach Karen Baghdasaryan, the bronze medalist in the 60 kg category at European Universities Karate Championships Erik Gevorgyan and his coach Vardan Gevorgyan, and the team of Armenian State University of Economics that finished ninth at European Universities Futsal Championships held in Poznan, Poland.
