Hamas ‘catches Israeli spy dolphin’ off coast of Gaza
Hamas said it captured the Israeli dolphin while it was conducting ‘suspicious manoeuvres’ near Palestine, Metro.co.uk reports.
It was spotted by a naval unit, according to the Times of Israel, and brought ashore.
The dolphin is believed to have been equipped with video cameras and a device capable of shooting arrows.
However, no images of the aquatic agent have been released and Israeli authorities are staying tight lipped about the situation.
Israel has a history of using animals in the conflict with Hamas.
In 2007, Iran announced it arrested 14 squirrels for spying for Israel after being found with ‘espionage devices.
Then in 2010, an Egyptian Official claimed Israeli-trained sharks were responsible for a series of attacks in the Red Sea.
