Aram Manukyan: ANC will not participate in constitutional reform discussions
Armenian National Congress (ANC) Party will not participate in discussions on the constitutional reforms in Armenia, the secretary of ANC parliamentary faction Aram Manukyan told a press conference today.
He said they are going to set up a movement and visit Armenian regions “to explain that the submitted document is anti-constitutional”.
“Armenian National Congress intends to cooperate with all political forces which are opposed to the constitutional reforms,” A. Manukyan said.
As was reported, on August 4 the Commission on Constitutional Reforms under Armenian President released the main chapters 1 – 15 of the preliminary version of the draft Constitution of Armenia. The document is available at the website of Justice Ministry of Armenia. The Commission is expected to finish drafting the final chapter 16 in the next few days.
