Aravot: Paid parking lots in Yerevan gradually turn into ‘mini markets’
Parking City Service, the company that was initially responsible for equipping parking lots in Yerevan, is gradually changing the direction of business, ‘Aravot’ paper says, noting that many parking lots have become open ‘mini markets’. Those who want to sell or rent out their moveable property, leave their cars in parking lots marked with red lines, preventing other drivers from using those paid parking lots.
‘Aravot’ released a photo taken in downtown Mashtots Avenue. “Dozens of cars to be rented out are left round-the-clock along the street, outside the Margaryan Hospital. Why should people go to Nubarashen car market, stand there for days and make a payment to sell a car, if they can display cars in the center of the city. Besides, the place is safer and the annual payment is lower,” the paper writes.
