Defense minister Ohanyan meets participants of gatherings ‘Union 2015: Heirs of Victory’ and ‘Baze 2015’
In the resort town of Tsakhkadzor, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met with the participants of ‘Union 2015: Heirs of Victory’ international youth gathering of military and sports organizations, Armenian Defense Ministry said.
He underlined the role of the gathering in patriotic upbringing of the younger generation. “Patriotic upbringing is a component of potential of any country,” the minister said.
The Armenian defense minister then met with participants of ‘Baze 2015’ Pan-Armenian youth gathering in Tsakhkadzor. He discussed the peculiarities of military science, development prospects of the Armenian armed forces, modern challenges, and approaches to resolution of the existing problems. The minister also responded to participants’ questions.
Discussing the constitutional reform in Armenia, S. Ohanyan said Defense Ministry is taking an active part in discussions related to defense and security issues. “I can say that defense and security issues are guaranteed in the draft Constitution,” the minister said adding that discussions continue and there is no reason for concern.
